Reproductive Justice: Rooted in Power

July 2024 marked the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Reproductive Justice framework. In Our Own Voice Action Fund President & CEO, Dr. Regina Davis Moss kicked off the Rooted in Power Speaker series with a discussion with Dr. Toni Bond, one of the founding mothers of Reproductive Justice and Ericka Hart, a racial, social, and gender justice activist, about the historical evolution of Reproductive Justice in American politics.

The conversation traced the origins of the RJ movement, the systemic injustices that have shaped Black women’s reproductive experiences, and how we move from vision to action, advocating for the polices Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people need to thrive.
